Due to a hugely successfull 2009 we are in great need of another pair of hands and so we are currently looking for a creative and talented chef to add to our Weird Fish team! Our lovely new summer menu additions to both the night and daytime menus including a lovely fresh gourmet salad section so please just click on the menu bars across the top of this page for a peek at the new scrummy offerings...the Lime & Coconut Pana Cotta with Ginger Beer Granita is definately the star of the show for me!!!
Our new EARLY BIRD menu is also in place, again ensuring some light summery dishes still for the bargain price of 2 Courses for £10.00!
We have a new offer for Spring that is already proving very popular. A Morning and Afternoon Coffee Offer which entitles each customer to either a Tea/Filter Coffee & either a toasted, buttered Teacake or a Freshly baked, homemade scone with butter for £2.00! This is available Mon-Fri 10am-12noon and 3pm-5pm.
We are open 7 days a week, serving breakfast & morning coffee from 10am onwards. From 12 noon onwards we serve lunch and from 6pm onwards we serve our A la Carte & Tapas Menu. We do advise that you book for evening dining, we are getting busier and busier with private bookings and venue hire and we do not want you to be disappointed. All our food is available to take out @ any time of the day.
We have also added some warming British favourites to our lunchtime menu as well as tapas platters to be available throughout he day. Our evening menu is also expanding to include some sharing platters and a selection of our most popular dishes over the past year making sure there is enough choice for everyone. We have reviewed all of our dishes to be credit crunch friendly and as we hope you will agree are all brilliant value for money.
As some of you may know we are now available for Hire and Outside Catering. This has been a great success and a new thing we have really enjoyed. We do not charge a hire fee and the restaurant is at your disposal for the whole evening, holding a 24 hour licence, the party goes on as long as you can! We will speak to you about your ideas and taste and create a bespoke menu that fits to your budget and your style. We have had some huge variations in events already, an 18th Birthday party with miniature Cheeseburgers, miniature Fish and Chip pots, miniature Pizzas, miniature posh kebabs...you get the idea. We held a fundraising event for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, testing our chefs to create a delicious menu whilst keeping costs to a minimum, coming up with a winter 'tapas' selection including some yummy roasted chestnuts. We have an Outside Catering event this week with the theme of "Rustic Decadence" including home smoked side of salmon, dressed lobsters, smoked teal and pheasant breast, fillet of Beef Carpaccio and a indescribable yummy selection of canapés, including shots of gespacho and fig and parma ham bundles. As I mentioned everything is developed uniquely to each customer's requirements, however, if you would like to see an example of the different buffet options available for either venue hire or outside catering then please fill in an enquiry form on this website, including your postal address, or just call in to the restaurant and grab one of our packs.
We are still running some of our most popular special offers, including the lunchtime meal deal, (Soup of the day and a Cold Sandwich of your choice £6.00 or Hot Gourmet Sandwich and hand cut chips £6.50) and our Sunday Lunch Special, which again, is best to book for. Two courses for £9.95 or three courses for £12.95, this menu changes weekly but to give you an idea, a popular selection over the past few weeks has been crayfish tail and cous cous salad, roast Honeywell's beef with all the trimmings and apple tart titan with vanilla ice cream....it really is a bargain!
We are also keeping our Early Bird offer availble when dining between 6pm and 7pm. Your choice of two courses for £10!
